Welcome to THRA

The Tasmanian Historical Research Association was founded in 1951 to promote research into and publication of Tasmanian history.

It is managed by a committee of volunteers. Meet them here. Our Annual Report is here.

THRA is itself a member of the Federation of Australian History Societies.
As well as our own news in What's New?, THRA's Facebook page offers news, talks and other events of interest to history-lovers.   Find us on
