The Second Tasmanian Lighthouse Conference will be held on Saturday October 6 2018 in the Boatshed on the Pilot Station, Low Head. Speakers include -
Anne Lee Archer on John Lee Archer, colonial architect and designer of the original Low Head Lighthouse
John Watts on the Low Head Leading Lights
Anne Green on lighthouses during World War 2
Rod Harris on lighthouse maintenance (which is his occupation)
Karl Rowbottom on Table Cape lighthouse and its opening to the public
Lindsay Dawe on the history of Eddystone Point lighthouse
Thomas Gunn on lighthouses as business logos.

Conference starts at 9.15, tickets are $55 and include morning and afternoon tea plus lunch.
As an extra bonus AMSA have agreed to open the lighthouse on the day for visits BUT ONLY TO THOSE ATTENDING THE CONFERENCE.
